Just as in any type of communication, there are some rules of etiquette that help ensure that the texts you send to clients have the desired impact.
- If clients don’t respond right a way, allow some time before re-texting
- Always respond promptly to client texts
- Be respectful of the client’s schedule
- Keep texts brief
- Don’t call in response to a text unless they ask you to
- Double-check autocorrect!
- Triple-check that you’re sending it to the right person!
- Respond proportionately
- Don’t SHOUT in all caps!
